Connector type
The connector type can be used to distinguish our products for installation in a device housing from cable parts. The connector type describes the difference between connectors that are mounted on enclosures, connectors that are mounted on cables, and other connection componentsdistributing signal and power.
Gender
A connector consists of the male part (pin) and the female part (socket). Depending on the design, the male or female part is either permanently installed or are located at the end of a cable.
Number of contacts
This indicates the number of contacts the connector has.
Version
The choice of version allows the definition of the cable outgoing.
Locking Type
The locking system describes how the pin and socket elements are joined.
Coding
The connector elements, pin and socket, must be brought into form-fitting alignment with one another (coding) before locking. This prevents mismating.
Rated voltage
The rated voltage is the electrical voltage assigned to the connector.
Rated current
The rated current is the electrical current that is assigned to the connector.
Degree of protection
The degrees of protection according to IEC60529 apply to various articles and provide information on protection against the intrusion of water and solids such as dust.
Shielded Option
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) means that a connector is shielded or shieldable. This is required when it is necessary to protect the signals or data conducted by the connector, as well as to protect external devices, from disturbance due to electromagnetic effects.
Material of housing
Depending on the area of application or requirements, connectors are made of different materials. We offer metal and plastic housings for our items as the housing material.
Termination
The termination type determines how cables, single wires or PCBs can be joined with the connector.

Cable type
By selecting the cable type, a preselection for the respective application can be carried out.
Cable Jacket Type
The material of the cable jacket. PUR, TPE, TMPU or TPE-U cables each have different technical properties.
Cable color
The color of the cable jacket.
Cable length
Our items with molded or pre-assembled cables have different cable lengths. It describes the length of the cable from the end of the connector. If the desired cable length is not included, please contact our sales department.
Locking material
Depending on the technical requirements or performance data of the connector, the locking mechanism is made of plastic or metal.

The most important sectors recommended for the requirements, standards and typical applications of the corresponding binder articles.
Single wire length
The stranded wire is an electrical conductor consisting of thin individual wires and is therefore easy to bend. The individual wires of the stranded wire are usually enclosed in a common insulating sheath and come in different wire lengths.
Mounting orientation
The mounting orientation for flange connectors defines the side from which an item can be mounted.
Mounting thread
There are different thread sizes for the device-side connection, depending on the design. These are available in different variants.
Cross section
The connection cross-section defines the possible size of a stranded wire on a contact in the flange or field attachable connector. Cross-sections from 0.08mm² to 6.0mm² are possible here. Since various industry are also using wires according to the American Wire Gauge (AWG), both units are reflected.
Cable outlet
Field attachable connectors can be assembled with different cables. The cable aperture indicates the possible cable diameters that can be used on an article.

M8-D connector - Automation

M8-D connectors are essential components for data transmission and known for their efficiency and reliability in demanding industrial environments with limited installation spaces. The M8 D-coded connector offers a robust solution for high-speed data communication, with options for both M8-D male connectors and M8-D female connectors to accommodate various connection needs. M8-D connector 4 Pin are designed to meet the high demands of industrial data connectivity in applications with small or limited space with data rates of up to 100 Mbit/s.


M8-D ethernet connector


M8 connectors with D-coding are shielded and achieve protection class IP67, have 4 contacts and are available as straight cable connectors and as straight and angled flange connectors. The cable connectors are available for self-connection with a screw terminal connection or with overmoulded heads, the flange connectors via a dip solder connection.
