Number of contacts
This indicates the number of contacts the connector has.
Locking Type
The locking system describes how the pin and socket elements are joined.
  • BayonetThe connection can be secured by means of a partial rotation.
  • M9The connectors can be screwed together to secure the connection. M stands for metric thread and the number stands for the external diameter.
  • Push PullThe connection can be locked by simply pushing. To release the connection, the sleeve on the connector must be pulled back.
Degree of protection
The degrees of protection according to IEC60529 apply to various articles and provide information on protection against the intrusion of water and solids such as dust.
  • IP40Protects against contact with tools, wires and other similar objects of Ø > 1 mm and against the intrusion of foreign bodies of Ø > 1 mm. Does not protect against water.
  • IP67Fully protects against touch and against the intrusion of dust. Protects against water intrusion in temporary immersion (depth: 1 m; duration: 30 minutes).
Version
The choice of version allows the definition of certain technical specifications – for example the type of cable outlet or the size.
Connector Type
Connectors are differentiated by installation type: those that are mounted in a device housing (panel mount) and those that are attached to cables.
  • Cable mountingConnectors with cable already moulded or for self-assembly.
  • Housing assemblyConnectors that can be mounted to device housings. These can be fixed by means of a locking nut or be screwed in (requires a threaded hole).
Shielded Option
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) means that a connector is shielded or shieldable. This is required when it is necessary to protect the signals or data conducted by the connector, as well as to protect external devices, from disturbance due to electromagnetic effects.
Product segment
binder areas of application or type of connector.
  • SubminiatureConnectors in a very compact size, with M9, snap-in, bayonet or push-pull locking systems and external diameters of 8–14.5 mm.
Termination
The termination type determines how cables, single wires or PCBs can be joined with the connector.
  • solderThe contact and the individual wires of a cable are connected using solder.

Subminiature connectors

Our subminiature circular connectors are designed for the many applications where size and signal integrity are important. We offer models with snap, bayonet and push-pull locking, as well as M9 screw locking in two different versions, either IP40 or IP67. The connectors are available with two to eight contacts, in straight or angled versions and as flange connectors. The different models have a dip solder or solder connection and are available with moulded cables in different lengths. We use high-quality materials for the production of our circular connectors. The housing and contact bodies are made of PUR or PVC, the contacts are made of gold-plated bronze or gold-plated brass. There are seven different series available, which convince with the following advantages:

• Choice of locking mechanism
• Protection class IP40 or IP67
• 2 to 8 poles
• Straight and angled versions
• Up to 1,000 mating cycles
