IP67 means the connector is fully dust-tight and withstands temporary immersion in water (up to 1 m, 30 minutes).
They are protected against temporary immersion but not designed for continuous immersion. Permanent water contact requires IP68.
IP65 protects against water jets from any direction, IP67 against temporary immersion. The second digit is not cumulative: IP67 does not automatically cover water jets. For both, a combined rating such as IP66/IP67 is specified.
